We use manual lymphatic drainage techniques combined with advanced technology such as pressotherapy and ultrasound to optimize results.
Post-surgical lymphatic drainage is essential after procedures such as liposuction, abdominoplasty, mammoplasty, and others. At our Pérez Zeledón and Uvita de Osa locations, we begin treatment according to your surgeon's instructions, generally between 48 and 72 hours after the procedure.
Each recovery plan is personalized according to the type of surgery, the patient's needs, and the treating physician's recommendations. We work in coordination with plastic surgeons in the southern zone of Costa Rica to ensure optimal and safe recovery.

Generally, it's recommended to start between 48 and 72 hours after surgery, depending on the procedure type and your surgeon's instructions. At Anthea, we coordinate directly with your doctor.
How many postoperative lymphatic drainage sessions do I need?+
Typically 10-20 sessions, depending on the surgery type and individual response. First sessions are usually more frequent (daily or every 2 days) and then gradually spaced out.
Do you treat postoperative patients from surgeries done outside Costa Rica?+
Yes, we treat patients who had surgery anywhere. We just need your surgeon's instructions to design the appropriate recovery plan. Many medical tourists visit our Uvita location.
What is postoperative fibrosis and how do you treat it?+
Fibrosis is tissue hardening that can occur after surgery. We treat it with specialized manual techniques, ultrasound, and radiofrequency to soften tissue and improve appearance.
